Where We Work in Genesee County

Our trucks run from a Flint base daily, which keeps response fast in the city and honest everywhere else in the county. Below: what the tree stock actually looks like in each community, and what to expect when you call from there. Just outside these lists? Call anyway — for emergencies and multi-tree jobs, we travel.

Burton — Flint's East Side Township-City

Burton wraps Flint's east and southeast along the I-69 corridor. It's a big-footprint community mixing 1960s–80s subdivisions with long-standing neighborhoods, and its canopy shows it: mature ash street trees (many now EAB casualties), big silver maples, and pines around the Belsay and Center Road corridors. Standard access, standard pricing, same-day assessment is the norm. Burton notes →

Grand Blanc — Mature Subdivision Canopy

Grand Blanc and its township to the south carry some of the county's most valuable mature canopy — the Woodcroft-era subdivisions and older country-lane properties with 60-to-100-foot oaks, maples, and hickories over upscale homes. Protective pruning, cabling work, and careful rigged removals are the usual jobs here; we schedule extra time because the trees deserve it. Grand Blanc notes →

Davison — I-69 Corridor Mix

Davison's small city core and surrounding township blend older village-era lots with mid-century and newer subdivisions. Ash losses are as common here as anywhere in the county, and the older in-town lots mean tight backyard accesses that our climber rigging handles routinely. Davison notes →

Flushing — Northwest River Town

Flushing sits along the Flint River northwest of the city, with a pretty downtown and neighborhoods full of the county's classic stock: river-bottom silver maples, yard oaks, and boulevard ash now heavily marked by EAB. River-corridor soils mean fast growth and softer wood — pruning and storm-hardening trims are the steady work here. Flushing notes →

Swartz Creek — Southwest Commuter Community

Swartz Creek grew up along the rail and highway corridors southwest of Flint, and today it's a mix of post-war and late-20th-century neighborhoods. Plenty of 40-to-60-year-old maples and ash now hitting their hazard years, plus newer subdivisions where young-tree structural training pays off. Swartz Creek notes →

Mount Morris — The I-75 Corridor

Ten minutes up the interstate from our base, Mount Morris runs on Flint timing: same-day assessment, weekly scheduling, same 24/7 emergency coverage. Post-war neighborhoods share the classic Genesee stock — boulevard ash deep into EAB decline, storm-splitting silver maples — and the township edges carry farmstead maples and windbreaks. Mount Morris notes →

Clio — North County Village

Clio is the first big stop north on I-75, with a walkable village core, subdivisions filling old farmland, and rural roads where windbreak spruces now lean with age. Northern Genesee catches the lake-effect first, so storm work is steady and the pre-winter trimming calendar fills early. We run the north route weekly. Clio notes →

Fenton — Southwest Lake Country

Fenton wraps downtown's Shiawassee River corridor, the Lake Fenton chain, and the newer subdivisions along the US-23/I-75 split. Lakeshore lots carry the county's biggest specimens — willows over seawalls, cottonwoods on the points — plus the same EAB losses as everywhere. Wet ground and open-water wind make this genuinely different work. Fenton notes →

Linden — Shiawassee River Town

Linden is the quiet river town in Argentine Township: older village lots with mature maples and oaks, lakeshore cottages, and farm-edge windbreaks. River-bottom soils grow trees bigger and softer, which means the storm-hardening trims here are the cheapest insurance in the county. About thirty minutes out; multi-tree jobs absorb the trip. Linden notes →

Holly — The County Line

Holly straddles the Genesee–Oakland line — we'll say plainly that most of the village is on the Oakland side, but we're closer than anything out of Pontiac and run the border roads weekly. Village-lot rigging work, rural windbreaks, and the same ash crisis as the rest of the corridor. Holly notes →

Goodrich — Atlas Township Growth

Goodrich kept growing while southeast Genesee County stood still: a small-town core, new subdivisions in former farmland, and some of the county's busiest new-home construction. That means two kinds of work — preserving the mature canopy on the old lots, and builder-coordinated clearing on the parcels becoming lots. Goodrich notes →

Ortonville — Northeast Lake Country

Ortonville sits past Goodrich at the county's northeast edge — deep lots, acre parcels, and lakefront toward the recreation area, with mature oaks, hickories, and maples that warrant preservation work as much as removal. Served on our weekly northeast route; emergencies jump every queue. Ortonville notes →

Birch Run — Scheduled North Route

Birch Run is just over the county line in Saginaw County — the outlets, the truck stops, and a real village behind them. We serve it on scheduled north-route days alongside Clio and Mount Morris: book onto the route and pricing stays close to in-town; standalone trips carry an honest trip charge quoted up front. Birch Run notes →

Flint Proper — Every Neighborhood

The city itself is our home turf and the heart of our EAB work: north side, east side, and the west-side corridors; the older streetcar-era neighborhoods like Mott Park, College Cultural, and the surrounding bungalow belts with their 80-to-120-year-old canopy; and the thousands of vacant and land-bank-adjacent parcels where volunteer growth and dead ash need clearing. City lots mean tight access and alley work — our rigging crews are set up for exactly that. If your property is in the right-of-way strip or touches land-bank parcels, tell us when you call and we'll flag the ownership questions before quoting.

📍 Beyond the list: Argentine Township, Gaines, the rural townships, and communities just over the county line — we regularly quote work outside the core list for multi-tree jobs, vacant-lot clears, and emergencies, and Birch Run rides our scheduled north route. Single small-tree jobs in outlying areas may carry a modest trip charge, quoted up front.
